CASTOLIN EUTECTIC AG FLAM 6111 RX - SOLDER IN AG COATING 34% 2.0 [MM] 754825

The cadmium-free brazing alloy in the form of rods with an elastic Elastec™ flux coating contains 34% silver and is designed for joining dissimilar materials. It features uniform melting and excellent flowability, which ensures high-quality joints even when brazing wider gaps or when the components are not perfectly fitted.

The material is suitable for brazing copper, copper alloys, low-alloy steels, stainless steels and carbides. For larger or more massive joints, or areas that are difficult to heat, additional Ag Flux 6000FP can be used to improve wettability and facilitate the brazing process.

Residues of the flux from both the coated rod and Ag Flux 6000FP are corrosive, so they must be removed after brazing. This can be done by rinsing the joint with water and cleaning the surface with a brass brush or a stainless-steel brush. The Elastec™ coating is moisture-resistant and does not become damaged when the rod is bent, which allows for long-term storage. The alloy has a liquidus temperature of 720°C.

The alloy is used in many fields, including air-conditioning and cooling systems, water and gas installations, and the brazing of heat exchangers. It is particularly recommended for joints with irregular or larger gaps, where high flowability and strong, reliable bonding are required.
