R-452A Refrigerant (Opteon™ XP44) is a modern refrigerant primarily used in low- and medium-temperature refrigeration systems. It was developed as a replacement for older refrigerants such as R-404A and R-507A, which have a high global warming impact. R-452A belongs to the HFO/HFC blend group and does not contribute to ozone layer depletion.

This refrigerant is mainly used in refrigerated transport applications, including refrigerated trucks, refrigerated containers, and refrigeration systems utilized in the retail and food-processing industries. Its thermodynamic properties are very similar to those of R-404A, making it suitable for both new equipment and retrofit projects involving existing refrigeration systems.

R-452A offers good energy efficiency, operational safety, and a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) compared to older refrigerants. It is classified as a non-flammable, low-toxicity refrigerant (Safety Class A1), which contributes to its growing popularity in modern refrigeration installations. Thanks to its properties, it provides a more environmentally friendly solution while maintaining high cooling performance.

In accordance with the Polish Act of 15 May 2015 on ozone-depleting substances and certain fluorinated greenhouse gases, this product may only be purchased by business entities holding valid F-Gas certification.
