Cadmium-free silver solder with 45% silver is available in the form of sticks coated with flexible Elastec™ flux, which is moisture-resistant and does not peel off when bent. This ensures convenient handling and long-term storage. The solder melts consistently, allowing for precise joints at temperatures up to approximately 700°C, even in very narrow gaps of 0.05–0.2 mm.

The material is designed for joining dissimilar metals, including stainless steel, copper and its alloys, low-alloy steels, nickel alloys, and carbides. The properly proportioned flux improves surface wetting and enhances joint quality, even when components are not perfectly fitted. For larger joints, additional Ag Flux 6000FP flux can be used.

The flux coating does not produce strong irritating fumes during soldering, increasing comfort and safety. It also ensures clear melting of the solder and better control over the process. After soldering, flux residues, which are corrosive, should be removed using water and a brass or stainless steel brush.

The 45% silver solder is ideal for refrigeration, air conditioning, gas, and sanitary installations, as well as heat exchangers, heat pumps, and compressed air systems. It is also recommended for joining tools with sintered carbides. It enables the creation of durable, leak-proof, and load-resistant joints between dissimilar materials.
