CASTOLIN EUTECTIC FLAM RB 5280 – SILVER BRAZING ALLOY AG 5% 2 MM CU 754813

The Cu Flam RB 5280 soldering alloy is a copper-based material with 2% silver, offering high ductility in the solder. This makes the joints resistant to vibrations, shocks, and temperature changes during operation. The melting point is 810°C, and its stable melting ensures optimal material usage.

The alloy is mainly intended for soldering copper and its alloys, including brass. When soldering brass, the Cu Flux 5000FX flux should be used, and additional copper flux can be applied to speed up the process. After soldering, any remaining flux should be thoroughly removed, e.g., with water and a brass brush.

The alloy is available in stick form with markings to identify the type of alloy, making it easy to select the right material. Its stable melting and quick bonding with copper enhance joint reliability while minimizing material waste.

Cu Flam RB 5280 is suitable for refrigeration, air-conditioning, and gas installations, including pipes up to 15 mm in diameter. It is especially recommended for joints exposed to vibrations or fluctuating temperatures, ensuring durability and reliability for Cu–Cu connections and copper alloys with 2% silver.
